Thanks for posting that piece. It would be very interesting to hear the real story behind that. She would have to be a consumate pro to have known that her contract was not to be renewed at, say, the end of May, and continue on w/o showing nary an on-air hint. Maybe it was that simple and negotiations broke down around mid-May, and CNBC just told her to take off--choosing to simply say she was "away" in case she cooled off and returned. Obviously a lot of guessing here <g>. I love (that's heavy sarcasm btw) that some of these on-air anchors/reporters get so full of themselves (Tyler M. comes to mind), not that that's what happened here with Martha.
