convinced by the Russian Generals who were advising I bet at least one of those guys fought in Afghanistan, and really knew the score. Military tech advantage only goes so far. Russian military tech ain't so bad in many cases. I think an announcement of "victory" is a little premature, even though the military did a fantastic job on their part in solving the immediate military task assigned to them. The real offensive weapons are now politics and political methods imho.
