Marvel Enterprises Appoints Peter Cuneo Vice Chairman

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 2003--Marvel Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: MVL - News) announced today the appointment of F. Peter Cuneo, 59, as Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Cuneo has served as a director of the Company since July 1999 and served as Marvel's President and Chief Executive Officer from July 1999 until December 2002. Since retiring from the positions of President and CEO effective December 31, 2002, Mr. Cuneo has also served Marvel as Special Advisor to the CEO and has played a very active role in the Company's investor relations efforts. Isaac Perlmutter also continues to serve as Vice Chairman of the Board.
Prior to Marvel, Mr. Cuneo's executive experience included serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and as a director of Remington Products Company, L.L.C., a manufacturer and marketer of personal care appliances, and as President and Chief Operating Officer at Remington Products Company, the predecessor to Remington Products Company, L.L.C. Mr. Cuneo is also currently a director of Water Pik Technologies, Inc.
