My wife is a Shakespeare professor and she was impressed.

Glad you liked it. I can also quote quite a bit of T. S. Elliot, particularly from "Love Song of J. Alfred Pruffrock", but that's about the extent of my poetic memory...

Let us go then you and I
When the evening is stretched out against the sky
Like a patient aetherised upon a table
Let us go through certain half-deserted streets
Of muttering retreats
Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels
And sawdust restaurants with oyster shells
Streets that follow like a tedious argument
Of insidious intent
...etc etc etc

... which is my way of telling you I would rather recite poetry than go into another one of these arguments with you, Fred :-) It is rather obvious by now that you don't see what I am trying to say, and when I make it very VERY obvious, you run away, never even answering my posts. Rather frustrating...

Seriously, I am horrified at your bringing up of "torture is not 'thin air'", as if that is what I have said.

You seem to realize Bush "either lied or misled", which means he is either a very unsavory character capable of lying to a whole nation to invade another, or he is incompetent and so is most of his staff. What do you say about that?
