MacRandy: More crap excuses for piss poor data service.

I must admit I like the QCharts charting program a lot and because of that like for the charting program, I’ve hung in with QFeed for years. Lycos seems to not care if the ongoing data problems get resolved either that or the data issues are just not resolvable.

I have not been trading much this year due to a move. I've yet to completely set my trading desk up. I have been only monitoring the markets on a limited basis. The only computer I have up, only has QCharts loaded on it. So, I have been once again using QCharts/Qfeed as my primary service and it has been performing very poorly for months. I would NEVER recommend anyone trade using Qfeed as the primary data feed. In fact, I don’t think it has performed well enough over the last few months to be recommended as even a backup data feed. The QFeed service just continues to get worse and worse.

Since I seem to be one of the idiots that just can't make the break from Qcharts, I am hoping what appears to be a lack of attention by the Qcharts/Qfeed staff to the ongoing problems is an indication that either Lycos is going to sell Qcharts/Qfeed or Lycos is going to discontinue the service.

Discontinuing the service may be best for me, as that will force me to move on, for sure...gg

Selling the service would likely have me hanging in there to see if the new owners will/can fix the data feed. I am not sure the data feed can be fixed. I suspect if Qfeed could be fixed, surely it would have been fixed by now.

I deduce there are inherent problems in the way Qfeed collects and pushes data out to its customers that impairs, restricts are prevents certain vital database maintenance operations.

Regards,
LG

PS: I am going to be checking out some of the charting/data services I have already checked out in the past to see if any have improved enough to motivate me to finally throw Qcharts/Qfeed in the dumpster...gg
