I've never heard more scurrilous rubbish than that I've any respect for a tyrant like Saddam Hussein.

Why is that "scurrilous rubbish"? It's obvious that you feel the US is the most sinister nation on the planet.

And you voiced your favorable opinion of Muhammed Omar and his "stable" Taliban regime in Afghanistan..

And you certainly shown any sense of displaying the same kind of outrage that many of have over the atrocities and oppression committed by these kinds of leaders.

Yet another delusional, off-the-cuff and off-the-wall comment on your part. Parsing the UNSC Resolution 1441 as anything more than the acquiescence of the majority there is pure balderdash, and you well know it.

Uh Raymond... UNSC 1441 CLEARLY expressed the opinion that Iraq was in "MATERIAL BREACH" of its obligations under previous UNSC binding resolutions and the cease fire agreement. And they did it in a 15-0 affirmative vote (including Syria).

Make such a declaration was tantamount to declaring that the cease fire enacted after Desert Storm had been violated and that hostilities could commence unless this material breach was resolved through the requisite information being made available.

It wasn't.. Blix even said so himself.

Thus, the UNSC is just as culpable as the US for "creating" and sustaining the belief that Iraq possessed WMDs.

Btw, do you believe that Saddam Hussein is a war criminal? I haven't heard you voice an opinion on that yet.
