Hey, folks, wondering if you pundits could provide some insight. The other evening a consultant with a long history of experience serving the wireless industry here in Los Angeles stated that Verizon-Wireless may soon be migrating over to GSM from CDMA. I queried him about his comment & stated that in a design application for a large cell to serve LAX, VZ-W had incorporated flexibility to move to GSM. I presume, if true, this would happen at the 3G level, & perhaps the migration would be to W-CDMA as opposed to CDMA2000. Any of you folks have insight into these matters? If so, would appreciate comment. TIA.
