Hi Henry. Given the rapidity of control [albeit assisted with the onset of summer], the sars mutants are going to have to be pretty smart to avoid N95 masks and a new tradition of bowing instead of kissing, shaking hands and hongis as greetings. Also, people will develop a new interest in food served piping hot rather than salads stored on a shelf with people saying "potato" or "pumpkin" over them.

Also, we'll murder some of them and use their bodies to teach our immune systems what to watch out for. A gang of silly sars bugs out on the town wearing pink hats as a disguise and claiming to be something different just because they have a 29 nt deletion won't fool a well-primed immune system.

I might even take a trip to Shanghai and Beijing just to taunt them!

Mqurice

PS: Hongi = Maori tradition of pressing noses and mixing breath on greeting. Very uncool in the age of Sars. Not as bad as lip kissing and saliva swapping though.
