Canadian PM says same-sex marriage court decision will stand

OTTAWA (AFP) - Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien said the federal government will not appeal an Ontario court decision legalizing same-sex marriages, sending Canada on the path to becoming only the third country to legalize gay marriages.
"We will not be appealing the recent decision on the definition on marriage, rather we will be proposing legislation that will protect the rights of churches and religious organizations to sanctify marriage as they define it.
"At the same, we will ensure that our legislation includes and legally recognize the union of same-sex couples. As soon as the legislation is drafted it will be referred to the Supreme Court. After that it will be put to a free vote in the House of Commons," Chretien told reporters here.
Yes , it must surely be the work of Satan , this newest abomination up in Canada ...as your retrograded and outdated theology calls it . It was so much easier when you could just take these damned "sinners" out and stone them to death and throw them off cliff back in Jerusalem 2000yrs ago ? Or little old men that got caught working on the Sabbath ?

You should be more conscious of violent religious indoctrination and mass_recruitment of the lumpen youth in the underdeveloped countries for "God" , for suicide bombings, mayhem and terrorism as the real abominations , my friend , and set your priorities straight.
Time for your "church" to wake up...and stop burying itself deeper in the mucky waters of flakey, superstitious , outmoded medieval doctrine. Ah , but that would require too much wisdom and faith , wouldn't it ? Better to just let yourself be dictated to and not think at all...and pride yourself piously as having "faith".
