That's the Old Testament, not the New which is Jesus's teachings. Jesus never smote his enemies, he said have mercy upon them, forgive them, love them, turn the other cheek. Jesus's only wrath was reserved for the rich. The very group the current GOP is serving hand and foot, at the expense of the needy. Jesus would despise the current right-wing GOP. Jesus would also not like pollution, cheating to win elections, Enron or lying about imminent threats that dont exist to get us into wars. Jesus was wise and good. The current right-wing isn't. If you don't believe me, look at the right's moral guru Bill Bennett and ask, is that a moral man?
