Shore Gold Announces The Appointment Of Two New Directors And Resignation Of a Director

SASKATOON, SK, June 18 /CNW/ - Kenneth E. MacNeill, Chairman and CEO of
Shore Gold Inc. ("Shore"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Messrs.
Neil McMillan and Arnie Hillier as new directors of Shore.
A native of Saskatchewan and a chartered accountant, Mr. Hillier has been
the CEO and CFO of Claude Resources Inc. ("Claude"), a gold mining and oil &
gas company listed on the TSX under the symbol "CRJ" since 1991. Prior to
joining Claude, Mr. Hillier spent 10 years with Cameco Corp. (the successor to
Saskatchewan Mining Development Corp.) in a senior financial capacity.
Also a native of Saskatchewan, Mr. McMillan is a former member of the
Saskatchewan Legislature. In 1995, following 16 years with RBC Dominion
Securities, Mr. McMillan became the President of Claude. He is a past
President of the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Executive of the
Saskatchewan Mining Association and on the Board of Directors of Atomic Energy
of Canada Limited and Cameco Corp.
Mr. MacNeill also announces that Dr. Edward Schiller has decided to
resign as a director of Shore in order to pursue other interests. On behalf of
the board of directors of Shore, Mr MacNeill would like to thank Dr. Schiller
for his years of support and service to Shore and its shareholders.
Shore is a Canadian-based corporation engaged in the acquisition,
exploration and development of mineral properties. Shares of the Company trade
on the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbol "SGF".
