ALL 'Kookers', re: "Ice, you do have a soul - after all."
Well, I always thought he was a really great guy!
Anyway, since FIDO chastised our thread as a "private
chat room" (on which I eloquently corrected him), our thread
has been rather quiet. I'm rather distressed by this...to the
point that we have even been talking about real kook
material via private email (the COMS argument), I want to
reiterate that this forum is for US to use. If Mr.
Berg wants to talk about scorpions, or if I want to talk
about the gloom and despair of our credit based economy,
or if Herb wants to talk about gold, or if GM wants to
talk about sailing, or if we even want to talk about kooks
--- it's all fine here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So here's some real kook material:

Now, if we're bugged enough about FIDO's comment that we
have to discuss ACTUAL KOOOK stuff via email, I'm going to
be really pissed that an outsider, who doesn't even contribute
here, has this much control over our thread.
Fine, let's talk about Kook stuff. But there's a lot of real
value in the OTHER STUFF, too. We learn about markets
in general. We learn about gold, deinflation. We learn about
discount brokers, dictionary references, and how to kill
bad little critters. It's all good -- and it's a good break
away from the drudgery of following every little one liner
insult that comes out of some pinhead's mouth, or every
"when is earnings" question from some idiot that hasn't
seen the earnings button at the top of their screen.
So this is our 'R & R' area, and we must not let non-contributing
dorks keep us from posting....and, Ice, if you want to post about
OMEGA or even the weather in San Antonio, please do it.
Let's just keep this going for the benefit, Kook or not, of
having a great meeting place. And anybody can join in because
we're not clique-ish. I just don't want some idiot ruining the
best part of SI for me...I want ALL the information that
enriches my life, whether it has to do with investments, or
koooooooks, or scorpions, or gold, or anything else.
Have I typed enough about this? Do you understand how I feel
about this yet? Do vital papers show their vitality by moving
from the place you left them, to the place they can't be found?
