I heard that Alberta's Premier has served notice that he will invoke the "notwithstanding" clause of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in order to preserve the staus quo. Canada is slowly separating along economic and ideological lines. People should not need to be publicly ashamed of their partner. All people should be allowed to openly strive to realize what they believe to be their best and most honest natures. Life is too short and uncertain to be forced by society to live it as a sham. I think it was the wise womanizer, Mr. Franklin, who said: "A long life is not good enough; but a good life is long enough"...
