Wilder, thanks for your comments. Checking a little bit at Medscape it appears that the responses achieved are indeed quite good.

It appears that results from HuMax-IL15 is on par with the big names. I think it should also be noted (apart from the small trial size) that, as this was a dose escalation trial, there was a fair number of patients, who were not treated at the optimal dose.

Summary of dosing.
5 patients at 0.15 mg/kg were not redosed at all.
5 patients were dosed at 0.5 mg/kg
5 patients were dosed at 1 mg/kg
5 patients were dosed at 2 mg/kg
5 patients were dosed at 4 mg/kg
5 patients were dosed at 8 mg/kg and redosed at 4 mg/kg.

If 4 mg/kg represents MTD, then 2/3 of the patients were dosed at sub-optimal levels (provided more is better).

I don't think the 8-4 schedule reflects a wish to give a booster dose. More probably they decided 8 mg/kg was overkill or they were afraid for adverse effects.

They didn't see any HAHA response. That is positive. Remicade has problems with HAMA responses. With regard to the other two I don't know. Humira is supposed to be fully human.
