*OT* Yeah, that was comin' eh? Albie Lopez gave up 29 runs in last 11 innnings pitched (dude, that's hard to do even if you are TRYING)...Still Royals 7-3 vs. Twins this year...and I believe Royals have best division record of any team in baseball- for whatever that is worth or not.

Sweeney needs to get healthy in a hurry....he is heart-n-soul of that team..Royals not a deep talented team

Its a shame that Hernandez has been hurt so long, and Affeldt has had blister problems...that has made life difficult. Until recently, Harvey's been a bust this year- and they need(ed) that extra bat too..IMO, only if all these guys are healthy and producing- and rookie reliever can get back to April efficacy...can Royals really compete for a title this year. They also need Lescanic from the Brewers...but I bet Baird is too cheap...

For the record, I don't expect Royals to win division , but I'd be happy with a solid 2nd (85-75), and keeping Beltran..

Baseball still needs to do something to make it fairer for the small market teams.....a long time ago, they should have had better revenue-sharing....baseball should not be a "business" in the general sense (profit objective)- it should be a public good that only old rich guys or corporations own that made their money elsewhere...I still find it funny how in socialist Europe for years, there sports have been dominated (skewed by far) to big clubs in big cities, and yet capitalist US was more 'socialist' in their sports models...
