We can't help what race we are but weight management is an issue of self-control. This is one of the inaccurate stereotypes which helps perpetuate the prejudice against overweight people. As Michael Jackson has shown, it's also possible to overcome being black, so one can fairly say that skin color management is an issue of self-control. But I don't think either that statement or yours is either constructive or substantively honest.
