I agree that politics is about debate. However, the same accusations hurled from the left & right have become boring. For me personally, being registered Repub comes down to two concerns --a strong military for international affairs plus law and order for homeland security. In recent yrs the Repub party seems to give stronger support to those issues. If it was possible to vote in primary elections, I would not register at all since my views are more centrist than either political party today. We really need a 3rd party--the most vocal members of the right & left always seem to be extreme.
