If that's the case, the extreme worker bees cause many citizens to turn off to the electoral process. That unfortunate result places too much power in the hands of those who learn how to manipulate the worker bees. Those with extreme left or right stands have become the small percentage who vote in local elections throughout the country. The centrists tune out & the extremes take control.

After a recent county election, the editor of the local paper commented that the poll workers were found to be a nusiance by many of the voters. He was harangued shortly thereafter by a party loyalist (it was a GOP primary) who happens to be an attorney. The loyalist accused the editor of criticizing freedom of speech. I strongly disagree with the lawyers view, since many voters complained the workers were too aggressive as they tried to access their voting site. They said candidate fliers were stuffed into their hands whether they were interested in them or not. That type of behavior just discourages those voters who need very little reason to avoid going to the polls the next time.
