That's the stuff we used to kick around in '70-'71; I'm not sure whether Nixon thought of that, but Watergate sort of negated the need for avoiding elections. The other difference is that then, the enemy was 10 thousand miles away. I know that a lot of us were paranoid enuf to at least speculate; I also know that a lot of our paranoia turns out to have been based on reality.

Now, with these guys, with an on-shore hidden enemy, who knows what is possible. I'd still say paranoia strikes deep, but maybe we are going to find out why the 2nd amendment really is in the constitution.
