Oh, I admit my "riff" is nothing compared to the currently dominant "riff" that anybody noticing the curious lack of correlation between the long running pre-war WMD propaganda campaign and reality in the conventional sense is guilty of "partisan hatred" or "prosecutorial zeal" or some other crackpot conservative line du jour. Maybe it's just preventive maintenance or something , keeping the propaganda engines warmed up for the next war and all that.
