In Iraq, the Americans and British are muddling through; in the Congo, ‘international law’, as represented by the French and the UN, is failing big time.

This is the kind of journalism a lot of anti-Bush people are starting to resent. It reminds me of one of the 60 minutes II reporters (Bob Simon?) who constantly slants his views into the stories. Anyway, anybody can see that comparing Congo to Iraq, no matter who is running the country, is naive and a kind of "lying with statistics". Did Congo ever have an economy of any kind? Nope. Education for its people, healthcare, etc? Congo right next door to massive unrest states, brutal climate, refugees from Somalia you name it. Compared to the nation with the second largest oil reserves with a highly educated populus located on the former garden of eden. Oh yeah, UN did a bad job in Congo and Americans are doing great in Iraq- give me a break.
