Unfortunatley, it takes the MBAA this long to compile the quarterly reports. The next quarter may not be out for 3 months (they note the 1st qtr was released yesterday). Perhaps there is a monthly that turns out faster, but I doubt it. So the best we get may be stale -g-

I think another good place to look is the major home lenders (WM comes to mind) and watch what their reserves for underperforming loans are doing. That is usually a clue that surfaces pretty quickly if the tide is turning. It's also a fed requirement for reporting, so it can be revealing.
