one more point, Lou...Since decades some joker in Warshaw has been doing the so-called Warshaw-Berlin test: he asked students at the university, how far it is from Warshaw to Berlin. The cold-war record was 1500 km. This year's result is, well, pretty realistic - somewhere below 700 km, which is darn close to the real distance of 650 something km.
