Raymond, I NEVER said Daniel Yergin has nothing to do with CERA. Quite the contrary if you review my messages here on this thread
I responded this message of yours...complete text of same to follow in italics ...
Be careful with this guy Yergin. He's a crook. He recently was on national television (CNBC) lying about the potential for oil in Iraq and Canada. He downplayed the importance of the easily liftable and light, sweet reserves of Iraq, in order to make the lying thieves of the Bush White House appear less criminal.
And then he added a whopper, claiming that Canada had greater reserves of crude oil than does Iraq. This total chicanery was based on a deliberate confusion of ready reserves with ultimately recoverable reserves, and a confusion of light, sweet crude with oil sands!
I was astonished that a sophisticated man like Yergin could be so completely and deliberately dishonest. But then, he's a paid whore for GE, NBC and the Republicans. Fortunately, some important voices are starting to call these liars scoundrels and worse:

My response to you was regarding the link you enclosed in your message...complete text to follow in italics...my bolding added for emphasis.
Thanks Ray, I agree to a certain extent that he seems to be a bit of an idealist...but I didn't see anything in that link tha even remotely mentioned him.

I respect your right to your opinions, but I believe you've misconstrued my message.
fwiw I've re-read the Slate.com link you enclosed in your message, as I gathered that it had something to do with our discussion about oil reserves and how they might impact China's future growth. Again, I see nothing in the link you provided that has anything to do with Daniel Yergin, or CERA for that matter. |
