My father-in-law is 95 years old....there were many fine whale oil companies to invest in i guess i am missing the relevance of whale oil companies and how old your father-in-law is. my great-grandmother lived to well past 100--does that make my argument better than yours? the subject under consideration is peak oil--a/k/a "petroleum", not whale blubber, not your father-in-law's age--and how the world will deal with it. if you care to address the subject by bringing up actual facts or arguments related to the petroleum industry, on either side of the fence, by all means do so. but if you want to bring up irrelevant anecdotes with the moral that technology always saves the day, i am not the person to have your discussion with.
