IMHO, the key is not dead soldiers or whether or not he lied about his foreign adventurism (unsurprisingly, he had no sense of foreign adventure when he was in the military, though it could be said that he was never really in the military). The key is jobs. Big unemployment and the guy is toast. If they are able to credit card their way into creating a job or two, he may get elected President for real this time.
