Hillary was sixteen when she was passing out that Goldwater literature. She did not turn seventeen until about two weeks before the election. I suspect that her defense is that she was only semi-sentient during this period. If I am not mistaken, her dalliance with the GOP ended when she went to college. I don't think that the GOP can rightly lay claim to her. Your comments strike me as deliberately disingenuous. Some have speculated that her turn to the left was an act of rebellion against her domineering father. Perhaps someday she will work out these "father" issues and regress to her roots. BTW, I was fifteen when I was passing out Goldwater literature. No father issues.
