Orca, The Iraqi people are better off than they were under the thumb of Sadaam. The longer he stayed in power, the more innocents he would have murdered. People die in war, but at the time of liberation, the remaining Iraqi people rejoiced, and accepted the loss in order to rid themselves of a tyrant. That "one man" was the "one man" that was responsible for their bondage. As usual, you attempt to look at the world through rose colored glasses, and erroneously believe that world peace is a viable option. That would be a Utopian dream, but this planet that has been so screwed up by the humans that inhabit it, can never know peace until some catastrophic even happens to shock us all into our senses.
No war is, or ever has been sane, but events have brought about their necessity since time began. Unilateral disarmament is suicide for any nation, and to think that all the nations on the Earth will disarm, is a pipe dream with "wacky tobacky" in the pipe bowl.
My point, which you attempted to ignore, is that you liberals have raises a ruckus about the WMDs, and have said nothing about the murders by Saddam. Equalize you protests.
Actually, now that the malignant moslem clerics are attempting to encite their followers to revolt against those that made it possible for them to even walk the streets of Baghdad, I would just as soon see all of our troops pulled out of Iraq, and let the ingrates kill each other until they are all gone. If any other nation even looks like it wants to attack us, blow them of the face of the Earth, from a distance. We have that capability. It might even be better to remove our troops from every foreign country, fortify our borders with those troops, and let all of the rest of the world go to hell, while stopping all immigration across those borders. Screw the rest of the world. It may be difficult, but we don't need them, and have no reason to fight their wars for them. |
