I read it, and you, of course, are trying to nuance it. California more than doubled spending compared to pop/inflation, 22/54 Georgia was 27/31. The same kind of thinking was not going on in both legislatures.

The article stated they were both controlled by Dems, but failed to point out that a Calif Dem would get tarred and feathered in the Georgia legislature. Calif has the "squeaking" type I mentioned earler.
