PERFECT! Jeff, you just proved my argument!

You're not claiming that AP's "likeness" has been used in some way that injures his right to privacy, or usurps some right he has to profit from his likeness by sponsorship. The real reason AP is pissed is he feels he is being "harrassed". Right?

But that's EXACTLY what the 1st Amendment protects. I don't know if AP is in fact a jerk, but he's a public person and no wilting flower when it comes to expressing his own opinions. That makes him a fair target for ridicule.

Consider also: the fact that an image makes fun of AP is exactly the reason why there is no issue of sponsorship -- everyone knows the purpose of the image is to make fun of AP, which means he is not the source of the image. And that makes the image okay.

The remedy here is to grow up.
