Nadine's spelling of Judenstaat is likely more accurate, as Herzl would have been writing in yiddish not german ..[yes, a quick google seems to indicate so] .... perhaps less loaded with negative baggage as well

Congratulations for staying above charges of 'anti-semitism', so far .... for what it's worth, all my terms and arguments come from the point of view of an independent party concerned only with the welfare of all, with ill will toward no one who minds their own business and refrains from harming their fellows .... it is quite possible that i have a tiny portion of jewish blood from one branch of ancestors way back, and quite probable that i have a portion of arab blood from another branch .... neither of these count in any opinion i have, don't identify with any particular strain of blood, got so many of them it would be confusing .... it's kind of amusing though, to reflect that these two are both considered 'semitic'

The root of the problem is religion, not bloodlines .... so let's put the state religions on museum shelves, see how that works for a century or so ... this should be the centre of any plan for the region, imho

'Israel .... is a jewish state where the intention is to give both jew and non-jew equal rights.'

Such may be the intention of some israelis, sure, but the state is not doing so .... a jew from Buenos Aires has right of 'return', an arab from a few metres over the fence does not .... this is stark contrast, by any measure

'chat with Israeli arabs about which state and under which system they would prefer'

Good point, and i'm aware how many of them do prefer the richer economy and relative freedom from religion .... it would be a much better point if the freedom from religion was more effective, is what i'm saying .... as things stand, israeli arabs can be regarded by their fellows just outside the fence as quislings, and they are so called in many cases, and they will be until all humans in the area just grow up and get over this thing called religion
