Farmstead Telephone Group Launches Indirect Dealer
Program
Names Kevin J. Ryan Manager
EAST HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1997--FARMSTEAD TELEPHONE
GROUP, INC. (AMEX:FTG, FTG.WS.A, FTG.WS.B) reports that its Lucent Indirect Dealer
Program is steadily expanding at the conclusion of its first 9 months, and Kevin J. Ryan has been
named Indirect Dealer Manager.
Launched in November, 1996, the Program comprises approximately 25 independent dealers under
contract to FARMSTEAD TELEPHONE to sell Lucent Technologies' PARTNER, MERLIN
LEGEND and DEFINITY business communications systems.
FARMSTEAD TELEPHONE GROUP, INC., was appointed an Authorized Platinum Dealer in
April, 1996, for the sale of new Lucent Technologies business systems in selected areas of New
York and New England. The Indirect Dealer Program is a critical element in the Company's
evolving sales strategy.
Before joining FARMSTEAD TELEPHONE, Mr. Ryan spent 11 years in sales and sales
management, primarily within the Executone organization. He resides in Manchester with his family.
According to Ryan, ``The Indirect Dealer Program is up and running with solid revenues over the
first six months of 1997. We anticipate further growth in the third and fourth quarters as we sign up
additional dealers and continue to gain momentum.''
