Some here on the left have talked about "where is the outrage?"

Saddam nothing. Where were all these useful idiots worldwide who recently descended to the streets to show their self righteous outrage at the USA when the Rwanda genocide went down ?

A million Africans murdered in the most brutal manner, that's so many it couldn't have been a serious problem worth getting worked up about....... All those zeroes after the significant figures must have confused everyone.

I never personally took the Iraq WMD line that seriously, so am not too moved by the silly debate around that. The true purpose above all was, as the French say, to remettre les pendules à l'heure. But that kind of forthright talk would never have sold, and in the end we've taken on a dirty job that nobody will thank us for regardless of the outcome. What is more, there are plenty of people that are only too happy to see American soldiers lose their lives in Iraq, and they'll continue to stab us in the back and smear excrement on us every chance they get.

In light of this, was it still the right idea to topple the Baathist regime all by ourselves ? I don't know yet....
