I wouldn't want to compare myself to GM. Right now, they are losing market share, they lose money on virtually every car they sell, and they are having a hell of time in general.
If not for their financial division, things would probably be even worse...but as soon as refinancings slow down, even that will be a pretty bad division.

A college roommate of mine works for Ford. He says GM has a very small cash contingency in the event of a strike.
