Listening to CNN and Africa makes the news; rebels closing in on Monrovia, Liberia despite a ceasefire while in Uganda, rebels kidnap 100 girls from a rural Catholic school. One girl who refused to go had her fingers and toes cut off.

And Africa wonders why the rest of the world has so little hope for the Continent.
