Mikey,

When this thread was originally created we wanted some way to track each stock so we decided to buy 100 shares of each. We then decided it would be nice to actually track how we do as a group so I created another thread to track our trades. What I realized very quickly was you had to make each purchase the same dollar amount or it really did not make sense to track them. So on that thread I purchase $1000 of each stock.

On when to sell. Well most of these stocks are followed by the person who recommended them. When they deem its worthwhile to close the position we typically do. Or if we find a stock that seems to have lost its sponsor we usually will inquire to see if anyone still follows them and if not then replace them. I also asked Sergio to keep the portfolio number at 30 stocks or less to help with managing the transactions. Hope that helps.

Joe
