Anecdotes are anecdotes. What aren't anecdotal are deeds from the Ottoman period.

Some land occupied by Palestinians has legitimate deeds, some doesn't. Some land occupied by Israelis has legitimate deeds, some doesn't.

Having said that, I have to say the discussion isn't that relevant to present situation. The Israeli-Palestinians are in untenable positions.

The present reasons for this are almost entirely political and are well known. The Arabs within and particularly outside Palestine made errors prior to 1967 and the Israelis made serious errors after the 1967 victory. The PA makes errors all the time.

No point in laying blame. Ya got lemons...make lemonade.

The damn place is simply too much of casus everything for a whole lot of folk.

I've read Indyks' case for a trusteeship several times now, and I think something like it will be necessary if, and more likely when, the present "roadmap" falls apart.
