<Two new outposts have been built in the territories
over the last few days>

Looking at events of the last few weeks, I have to agree with Arafat: what Sharon is doing for peace, amounts to trivial tokenism. What Sharon has done, falls far short of what the Road Map calls for. Sharon is not doing what Bush (officially) is telling him to do, any more than Hamas is.

And the fact that Bush isn't doing anything effective, to make Sharon follow the Road Map (end all growth of all settlements, dismantle all settlements and outposts founded in the last 2 years, and not allow any new ones), means that Bush isn't serious, either.

The overall theme of modern global politics seems to be: total disconnect between words and actions. This happens so consistently, we no longer expect anyone to do what they say they are going to do, or for leaders to be honest. Or, to put it succinctly: We are living in the Age of Lies.
