You are right.

I did not think about taking out a loan, do nothing except counting the money in the morning and fondling the cash at night, and then, after a year, return the moolah back to the bank, less the interest charge for having done their work for them.

I have not come to grips with this strange negative interest rate world as yet.

I suppose, if money can be borrowed in sufficient quantities, I can then use the cash to buy the bank itself, and then forgive myself the loan by doing a write-off that the government is intent on encouraging.
