Thanksgiving 1970. I have to remember that Canadian Thanksgiving is earlier that in the US. By late November, Algonquin Park can get treacherous. Storms can whip across Hudson’s Bay, and completely immobilize that area with little warning.

OTOH, it can be a lot more peaceful than on Dominion Day. Once, I went to Algonquin on Dominion Day - which I never thought of before going. I thought I would be escaping the Fourth of July crowds in the US by going to Canada.

Oh, well.
