It's clear that if the US wants to avoid a series of Sepoy Mutinies and other unpleasant cross-cultural exchanges, it needs to outsource a major component of the peacekeeping forces in Iraq. Pakistan seems a logical choice as a low wage Muslim country with a substantial number of English-speaking soldiers. Pakistani troops will certainly be a bit more sensitive to Iraqi religious and cultural taboos than British or American soldiers or Halliburton security guards.

Eventually, Iraqis themselves will assume this role, but it may take some time.
