CON-SPACE EXPANDS ITS UK OPERATION
Con-Space Communications has appointed and transferred Andrew Ibbetson to the position of vice-president responsible for the company's United Kingdom office and European operations as of July 1, 2003.
"Our European operation, headquartered in the United Kingdom, has contributed substantially to this year's record growth in sales and profits, so it is important for us to continue developing this subsidiary," said James Swanson, chairman of Con-Space. He continued, "Today our largest market is the United States but the European market has the potential be its equal and we felt that the timing was right to send one of our most senior managers over there to consolidate current activities and expand our operation.
"Andy has been with the company since its inception," added Mr. Swanson. "He has worked his way from the factory floor through to be vice-president manufacturing and from junior salesman to being totally responsible for all OEM sales, our highest growth department. He also played a key role in our restructuring over the past two years, which makes him well qualified and the ideal candidate for this challenging position."
Con-Space has progressed very rapidly this year setting new sales and profit records nearly every quarter and the management is very bullish on the company's future. New accounts are being added daily, major "private label" customers are looking to Con-Space for new products, and with the increasing demands from Homeland Security first responder teams, major orders are becoming the norm for this local company. |
