You guys ought to get a little sophistication, and rethink your "liberals versus conservatives" battle, where each side is this monolithic bastion of "right" thinking, and the other the "wrong" thinking.
Considering how much information is overwhelmingly available today, how fast people can get around, how varied the occupations and lifestyles of people, I cannot believe anyone seriously subscribes to being a member in any political group or calling. Political parties are like sides in a kids' rock fight. Obvious, arbitrary, and without original merit. Being a "member" of one side or the other is only a declaration of "I can't waste my time or ego on other points of view." Nothing else is gained.
Being a proponent of political parties, or political identification ("liberal", "conservative") is like beating the drums for betamax, in a DVD age.... |
