Iraq requires $2-4 billion in oilfield repairs
this was known before the miraculous war victory over a defenseless, unprepared, disorganized, hapless enemy

nobody seems to want to discuss the expensive refits
not when we spend so much there now
to provide moving and standing targets for snipers and assassins

what a joke !!!
what a mess !!!
not too much different from what I expected after the fall of Baghdad
I recognized my faulty view of protracted guerrilla war
I believe now that Iraq played possum
let the USTroops in, let them set themselves up as targets, then the locals will shoot

we should see crude oil over $30 by midsummer
no problem
so far, zero gain, zero benefit from taking Iraq
only costs, in money, in equipment lost, in fuel, in lives
