One of our threadmates, Faultline, is pretty ill. I'm cross posting this message from another of his threads:

Unfortunately, my father suffered a severe stroke yesterday (thrs). The extent of the problem is not known yet, but he is stable.

In the meantime your kind thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
