What exactly isn't correct?

If I decide that XYZ Technologies is a better investment than QCOM and put my money in XYZ, I still have a vested interest in QCOM!

Not because of how much money I am making on XYZ, nor how much money I am not making (or not not-making) in QCOM, but in calibrating my PDQ vs ABC decision making process!! Which is very important when it comes to making the NEXT decision.

Errors in a decision making process will have a systemic effect on numerous decisions, not just one. Any moron could have made money in the bull run. Investing in these market conditions is a heck of a lot more difficult.

And as far as the poker analogy is concerned, you obviously didn't get the reference. At one time, we both held very similar hands. You read the cards around the table and decided to hold your Queen. I saw the same thing and chose to discard my Queen (and a few others) and draw different cards from the deck.

We are both playing THIS game, we just aren't playing with the same cards in our hands!
