I don't see that I'm missing much by not checking out whether and how much he may have matured. Even if his lyrics weren't objectionable, I personally wouldn't like the style though I wouldn't ban it from the house. One of the kids is drawn to that kind of stuff. I know parents can't prevent kids from getting into trouble if they are bound and determined to. You control what you can like the home environment and their behavior there. No guarantee they won't mess up when they are inevitably away. You know I think it's a mistake not to realize who his fan base is - its not people who post on SI - or think his appeal is because of some artistic feature - its the objectionalbe stuff that is the attraction for most of his fans.
