What you are missing is the OVERWHELMING proof that "self-determination" in the third world in the aftermath of WWII was as great a catastrophe as the war itself. 91101 was the direct result of turning the Islamic world over to murderous terrorists and just walking away. (That's RIGHT, Bud, everything they told you in school was WRONG. Some of us aren't surprised by that. But I realize it's a SHOCK to a lot of liberals and populists.) It must now be cleaned up, and EUROPE has reached the end of it's ability to deny the problem. The Iran war will include German, French and Russian troops...
