Hi Jay: Re oil, $ and € ... It's the usual tectonics I guess, the plates slowly grinding away at each other - no wonder CA is feeling the ... squeeze; ...

my AA moment: I'm on the wrong side of a couple of trades - for now - and I guess I'll have to do some reading, fasting and self-flogging this weekend. I still think (but am ready to change my mind) that dollar aka world economy is ina precarious position but otoh it's like those final sequences of Moby Dick - with Captain Ahab aka Gregory Peck sloooowly waving the other to join him in the Moby ride: this whale is so big it make take quarters to turn belly up. And nobody including me is looking forward towards a dollar winter. But, h*l, look at all these steamy jungle still pictures - I guess the question is, what else can one blow up - real estate is doing fine, we did securities...

Check Japan - well, the last real estate before they started to freeze up, and it was not even residential, so they're not big help... Who wants some more credit? Hullo, anybody there? A kingdom for a debtor... Russian population? Fix'em up with credit cards... Will not work, and they print dollars themselves.

Man, it's so hard.
