The more acquainted I become with Orson Welles's films the harder time I have understanding his reputation. But maybe a lot of his methods are now commonplace. Yet I do not feel that way about Huston, Bergman, Spielberg, Cocteau, Hitchcock, and several other directors. Maybe Welles was all there was during the WW II era?

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein scared the hell out of me when I was about ten years old.
